Tom Nowell and his team are true craftsmen that take great pride in their work. They turned our plain concrete back patio into a beautifully crafted full color bluestone patio. Then, like a puzzle, they painstakingly fit together the concrete rubble from the patio into a very attractive low retaining wall at the end of our backyard. That was ecologically friendly, saved us money and looks great. Tom was always very patient with our questions and any picky requirements which he worked seamlessly into the project. He and his team were also very respectful of our neighbors yards. Tom was great at communicating, always keeping us updated on the progress and informing us of next steps in the project. Whenever we added a feature to the project, Tom’s pricing was very fair. He was also constantly looking for ways to save us money. Tom’s knowledge of horticulture was very expert. When a plant in our plan wasn’t available at nurseries in the region, he recommended alternatives that were even more exciting. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Tom and his team and are extremely pleased with the end result. We were very grateful that throughout the project Tom treated our landscaping as if it were his own landscaping.
Tom Nowell has provided landscape design and installation on two of my homes. The key element common to both projects? Our friends and neighbors consistently say to us: “Your yard is amazing! Who did your landscaping?”
We love our Tom Nowell garden. Tom’s in-depth knowledge of both plant material and design elements has given us a garden that we enjoy all year long. Tom is responsive to any special requests that we have so that we have input into our garden. He and his crew are very dependable, responding immediately to any emergency situation, taking great care to keep the garden beautiful.
Tom Nowell created an oasis at my home…the small garden in the backyard was an extension of my area to entertain guests, relax with a book, or just drink coffee in a serene area. We are afterall, creatures of nature…and this little area of my world, outlined by fragrant tea olive bushes, hydragea trees and boxwoods in a perfect circular shape has become my favorite place to be….my paradise.
This garden has given me the privacy that I never had with neighbors near and close. When my guests visit, they are in awe of this small space that has been converted into a wonderful urban area.
